Inactives: Chargers without Flowers, Johnson vs. Seahawks

New, comments

The San Diego Chargers will be missing starting defensive players Brandon Flowers and Jarret Johnson for today's game against the Seattle Seahawks.

The only names that really matter on that list are Brandon Flowers, Jahleel Addae, and Jarret Johnson.

Johnson is crucially important to stopping the Seattle Seahawks' running game, but will miss the game as his wife is currently in labor and that matters more than football.

Addae is also important, but we've known that he is struggling to get back from a hamstring injury.

Brandon Flowers, who was likely going to be matched up on Seahawks #1 WR Percy Harvin for most of this game, injured his groin late in the week and will likely be replaced by rookie CB Jason Verrett, who looked good against the Cardinals last week.

Can the San Diego Chargers defense find a way to stop, or slow down, the Seattle offense without these guys out there? Maybe, but it may take a miracle.
