Arizona Cardinals vs. San Diego Chargers: Know Thy Opponent Edition - Revenge Of The Birds

I answered some questions about the Chargers for curious Cardinals fans. This Q&A with them and looking around the league more the last few days has shown me that the Chargers are going into Week 2 of the preseason exceptionally healthy.

Making the best of a second chance

It appears rookie Louis Vasquez will start at right guard in tomorrow's preseason game in Arizona. Kynan Forney's neck is still bothering him to the point he sat out yesterday's practice, and the Chargers won't mind testing Vasquez after he sat for two weeks with a foot sprain.

The Associated Press: English expected to miss Chargers' exhibition

It looks like Chargers rookie outside linebacker Larry English will be sidelined again when San Diego plays its second exhibition game Saturday night at Arizona. English, the team's first-round draft pick, was unable to work in team drills Wednesday due to a balky left hamstring that has cost him two weeks of training camp, including the exhibition opener.

LoNeal cut from Raiders

Man, I'll never forget that 2006 season, he was a class act too. Editor's Note: I don't understand why NFL teams aren't getting it yet. Lorenzo Neal equals a great running game, an easier time for your QB and WINS. Look at this: 2007 Chargers: 127.4 YPG (7th), 11-5 2008 Chargers: 107.9 YPG (20th), 8-8 2007 Ravens: 112.3 YPG (16th), 5-11 2008 Ravens: 148.5 YPG (4th), 11-5

Vincent Jackson and Antonio Cromartie tangled on a deep incompletion, and Jackson stayed on the ground midway through this afternoon's practice. Jackson got up a short while later, holding his hand. He rose and walked immediately to the training room. He has not come back on the field. Early word is the injury is not serious

Vincent Jackson Injured During Practice I heard this on The Drive on 1360 and Kevin Acee confirms what they said on his blog. On the radio they said that he had a splint on, but I think they said it was just on his pinky finger.
