The Chargers’ receiver, Joshua Palmer, is officially questionable to return with a knee injury that he suffered at the end of the third quarter against the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 18.

Palmer missed Weeks 9 to 14 as well as Week 17 with knee injury, it is unclear whether this is the same knee at the moment. He missed significant time in the middle of the season when he was placed on Injured Reserve to recover.

The third year player has looked like a key part of the offense both with Justin Herbert and Easton Stick at the helm however the time he has missed over this span has meant his production is yet to be sustainable. Before this final week of the season he only had 540 yards on 32 catches with a pair of touchdowns in a season where he had the chance to step up after the injury to Mike Williams earlier in the year. Keenan Allen has missed the last few games too but with Justin Herbert missing time with his own season ending injury, Palmer has not been able to see the fruits of having a franchise quarterback’s attention.

In his absence Quinten Johnston will step up to the primary spot with Alex Erickson, Keelan Doss and Derius Davis seeing the field more often.
