Favorite prop bets for Chargers-Chiefs

If the Chargers want to win one last game this season, they’ll have to beat the Chiefs behind a strong effort from Easton Stick.

Welcome everyone to the final Chargers game of the 2023 regular season.

As always, here are out favorite prop bets for today’s game against the Chiefs, per DraftKings Sportsbook. Let’s dive right in!

Field Goal - First Chargers Drive Result (+330)

In the Chargers’ first game without Brandon Staley at the helm, the offense looked cohesive as it marched down the field between the 20s. The unfortunate part is that when they got inside the 20-yard line, their momentum would fizzle like clockwork. That led to five field goals against the Bills defense. Last week against the Broncos, the Chargers managed three more field goals.

This week, I expect the offense to start a little hotter but ultimately fall short of a touchdown. Side note: Cameron Dicker should have been voted to the Pro Bowl Games!

Anytime Touchdown Scorer - WR Joshua Palmer (+240)

Palmer is back from a concussion that he suffered against the Bills in Week 16. In that game, he led the Chargers in receiving yards while catching five passes from Stick. With him back as the team’s WR1, I expect Stick to feed him in hopes Palmer will help him stick around in 2024. Palmer’s alway been good for either a touchdown or a big day through the air when he’s the number one guy and I can’t help but feel that will happen once again to close out the 2023 season.

Passing Touchdowns - Easton Stick over 1.5 (+175)

I’m going to go bold here with Stick’s over on 1.5 touchdown passes today. He had three against the Raiders, most of which came in garbage time, unfortunately. With Palmer back, I like his chances of finding him and most likely fellow wideout Alex Erickson who has been impressing the past two games.

Stick needs to show he’s a consistent quarterback who can help the Chargers win games should Justin Herbert ever miss time going forward. He hasn’t done that just yet — and let’s be honest, we don’t necessarily want him to win today’s game — but that won’t stop him from trying to get the job done. If they want to have a chance today, Stick will have to throw multiple scores paired with a strong defensive effort.
