What never seemed like that serious of an injury when it occurred has officially derailed what could have been one of the best seasons for a wide receiver in Chargers franchise history.
For the fourth consecutive week, Keenan Allen was once again a non-participant to begin this week’s game prep. Allen hasn’t played since the Chargers’ 24-7 loss to the Broncos in Week 14.
Joey Bosa, Zion Johnson, Nick Williams, and Kenneth Murray were also among the starters who did not practice on Wednesday. Mack was also out, but that was for a veteran’s rest day.
Deane Leonard, Joshua Palmer, Trey Pipkins, and Stone Smartt were all limited to begin the week. Palmer was sidelined in Week 17 with a concussion but it’s a positive sight to see him start the week as a participant in any fashion.
Linebackers Daiyan Henley and Tanner Muse were both listed on the injury report with groin and knee injuries, respectively, but each was able to carry out a full session.
