Chargers vs. Chiefs Week 18: By the Numbers

The Chargers have limped their way to the finish line with a 5-11 record. They’re 1-7 in their last eight games and will end the regular season this Sunday at home against the 10-6 Chiefs. Kansas City has one of the top defenses in the NFL while still possessing the ability to be intimidating on offense when things are clicking.

Los Angeles has slowly watched their statistic rankings drop throughout the year after starting near the top in a number of offensive categories. After Week One, they were second in the NFL in rushing yards off a massive 234-yard effort on the ground. They’re now 26th in the NFL averaging less than 100 rushing yards per game. The passing offense has also understandably seen better days since Easton Stick took over but the inconsistency actually started when Justin Herbert was still under center.

The Bolts will look to the 2024 offseason in hopes of righting a lot of wrongs that have held them back for longer than the fan base would like. Time will always tell, however, if they’ll end up making the right choices.

With that said, let’s go ahead and jump into the numbers!
