Good morning, Chargers fans!

This week, the news dropped that the merging XFL and USFL would now be called the United Football League (UFL) moving forward and that their 2024 season would kickoff on March 30 with a matchup between the 2023 XFL champion Arlington Renegades and the back-to-back USFL champion Birmingham Stallions.

The league has absorbed teams from both leagues to create a pool of eight franchises, five from the XFL and three from the USFL. The league will be split into two four-team conferences: the XFL conference and USFL conference.

The XFL conference will be made up of the Renegades, D.C. Defenders, San Antonio Brahmas, and the St. Louis Battlehawks.

The USFL conference will feature the Houston Roughnecks (formally a XFL franchise), the Stallions, the Memphis Showboats, and the Michigan Panthers.

Will you be watching some spring football in 2024? Several of my family friends coached on the Renegades so getting to see them win the XFL Championship was an awesome experience this year.

Let me know what you think of the recent news and make sure to let me know which team you’ll be adopting as a new lifelong fan!
