NFL: Preseason-New Orleans Saints at Los Angeles Chargers Robert Hanashiro-USA TODAY Sports

Good morning, Chargers fans!

The backups and third-stringers of the Chargers struggled against a Saints team that ended up fielding many more veterans with legit NFL experience on Saturday night, including a former top pick in the draft in Jameis Winston. Overall the defense kept things close by forcing five field goals despite several turnovers by the offense. Youngsters led the way with strong performances, but in the end, not enough players found a way to step up and make something happen.

The Bolts will finish their preseason slate with a trip to Santa Clara this Friday.

And now for today’s links.
