Chargers vs. Broncos Week 14: By the Numbers

The Broncos bounced back from a rough start to win five of their last six games.

I haven’t written one of these up since I went on parental leave a little over a month ago and it’s quite interesting to see how things have changed. Justin Herbert thankfully no longer leads the team in rushing touchdowns but Austin Ekeler’s four scores is still much lower than I would have expected by this time in the season. Keenan Allen still leads all receivers and finally started to gain some distance from Donald Parham in the touchdown category as both were tied for the team lead with four before I left.

Defensive, Khalil Mack had just seven sacks the last time I did this. What a jump. He now leads the league with 15 entering Week 14.

The Broncos defense is currently sitting 31st in total yards allowed per game but we all know that’s a bit skewed from their early shellacking by the Dolphins where they allowed 70 points and a billion yards. They’re the winners of five of their past six and are surely playing better than they were to begin the year.

This should be another exciting and dramatic matchup between divisional foes.

With that said, let’s go ahead and jump into the numbers!
