For the first time since taking over as the starting quarterback, Easton Stick will be without Keenan Allen and Joshua Palmer against the Broncos this week. Both have been ruled out by the Chargers, along with edge rusher Joey Bosa.

Allen and Palmer’s absence this week will mean Quentin Johnston is now the team’s WR1 for Sunday. Tight end Gerald Everett and backups Alex Erickson and Derius Davis should see expanded roles, as well.

Tight end Nick Vannett, cornerback Deane Leonard, and offensive guard Zion Johnson are all listed as quetionable for Sunday afternoon. Johnson was a late addition to the injury report on Friday but it’s unlikely he’ll miss his first professional game.

Linebackers Kenneth Murray and Tanner Muse are both doubtful this week, along with defensive tackle Nick Williams. If Murray and Williams miss this week’s game, the Chargers will be without two starters on defense. Backup linebacker Nick Niemann and defensive tackle Otito Ogbonnia would likely step into the lineup in their place.
