Chargers vs. Raiders Week 15: By the Numbers

This matchup will feature a pair of backup quarterbacks as both teams have struggled with injuries at the position.

NFL: Minnesota Vikings at Las Vegas Raiders Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

The Raiders seem to be a better team defensively since the last time these clubs met, but offensively they're still struggling to find much traction behind the play of rookie quarterback Aidan O'Connell. Despite being a top-10 defense in terms of points allowed per game (19.9), they're still only averaging 15.5 for themselves each week.

This week, however, they get the chance to give the Chargers a bit of their own medicine. In their first matchup in Week 3, Khalil Mack harassed O'Connell all game and ended up with six sacks on the day. This week, expect Las Vegas to try and wreak havoc on Easton Stick with Maxx Crosby coming off the edge (13.5 sacks). DraftKings Sportsbook has the Chargers as 3-point underdogs in this matchup.

No one would have guessed that a primetime game in December between these teams would feature backup quarterbacks, but here we are.

With that said, let’s go ahead and jump into the numbers!
