Following the team’s claims of Eric Banks and Trey Marshall through the first round of waivers, the Chargers waived cornerback Brandon Facyson and defensive tackle tackle Forrest Merrill. As expected, both Facyson and Merrill cleared waivers and were added to the team’s practice squad.
Joining those two on the PS is wide receiver Michael Bandy. His addition brings the group to 15 players which is likely where it will stay in preparation for the return of Ryan Smith off of the COVID-19 list.
At this point, how do you all feel about the current practice squad and the decisions made by the team? There were some obvious issues that were brought up initially within the fan base regarding Tyron Johnson and Cortez Broughton being released but it’s obvious the coaching staff had their reasons and I believe part of that was doing right by those players and letting them chase their goals somewhere else if they weren’t going to have that chance in Los Angeles.
At any rate, let me know your thoughts in the comments below.
