Man, these mornings are a lot easier when it’s a Victory Monday.

Unfortunately, Brandon Staley’s first loss as a head coach came almost as quick as his first victory.

His first two games at the helm of the Chargers have been fairly similar. Last week’s win came in a 20-16 contest against Washington and his first loss on Sunday was a 20-17 decision against Dallas. Both games were stained by an absolutely absurd call that went against the Chargers while they were in the red zone.

Last week we saw the “fumble” that traveled 15 yards in the air and through the back of the end zone and yesterday we saw Justin Herbert get “sacked” while still trying to literally do what you’re supposed to do as a quarterback in the NFL.

I’ll save my rants for posts throughout the week, but I wanted to set the scene for this week’s day after open thread. Yesterday sucked. It’s as simple as that. If you need a place to get something off your chest regarding yesterday, this is the place to do it.

And now for today’s links.
