Good morning, Chargers fans!

Kicking today off with a simple discussion thread. Our topic this morning: Which player surprised you the most in the team’s win over Washington?

For me, I think I have to go with Mike Williams.

After a very quiet training camp, and no snaps during the preseason, Williams kicked off the 2021 season with a career-high eight catches for 82 yards and a three-yard go-ahead touchdown catch.

It was a refreshing performance for the fifth-year wideout who is usually known for his high-flying catches and massive yards-per-reception average. In this game, he looked like the more-complete receiver we have been hoping he’d become with the Chargers. It looks like he added a little bit more to his route tree and he proved that he can excel at much more than just the jump ball.

Let’s flip this over to you all. Who was your player that surprised? Let me know in the comments below!

And now for today’s links.
