The 6’5, 320-pound Okoye played collegiately at Division II Ferris State in Big Rapids, Michigan. In his final season with FSU, he helped lead his team to the quarterfinals of the NCAA Division II playoffs while finishing the year with 25 tackles, two tackles for loss, and a forced fumble. He spent the 2018 offseason in Cincinnati before enjoying a short stint with the Alphas of the Spring League.
Sails comes to the Bolts as an undrafted free agent out of South Florida. In 2020, Sails started eight games before missing the team’s final contest due to injury. As a junior, he finished with a career-high three interceptions. Prior to USF, Sails spent the first three seasons at North Carolina where he played in 19 total games.
According to the team, Okoye will wear #90 and Sails will wear #8.
