We already know most of the Chargers’ starters aren’t going to see any time on the field during the preseason but in tonight’s second contest of the month you can add a number of other notable names to those taking tonight off.
According to The Athletic’s Daniel Popper, a number of potential depth players aren’t seeing the field tonight, either.
Some of those names include tight end Donald Parham, edge rusher Emeke Egbule, fullback Gabe Nabers, and wide receiver Austin Proehl.
On the other side of things, both starting offensive guards Matt Feiler and Oday Aboushi will be making their debuts for the Chargers tonight. Scott Quessenberry (center), Trey Pipkins (right tackle), and Storm Norton (left tackle) will be the others starting up front tonight.
In more tangible injury news, both Chris Rumph and Joe Reed remain in walking boots. Last time we heard from Brandon Staley, both injuries were not considered to be serious.

Reed (who I have not seen on the field)
