Just days after being released amid the team's initial cuts to bring the roster down to 85 players, the Chargers are bringing back wide receiver Michael Bandy ahead of Sunday's exhibition against the 49ers.

In a corresponding move, the team is placing both Nasir Adderley and Ryan Smith on the reserve/COVID-19 list.

As of now, it hasn't officially been reported that either Nas or Smith have contracted COVID or are even a close contact to someone else. As of yesterday, Adderley was dealing with migraines while Smith continues to rehab from a lingering lower-bosy injury.

Bandy was originally signed by the Bolts soon after training camp started along with three other former players from The Spring League. He was a former FCS All-American for the University of San Diego, setting numerous receiving records for the program before graduating.
