Chargers fans likely had quite the scare on Monday when it was reported that rookie left tackle Rashawn was not out on the field due to an apparent lower-back injury. Fortunately for them, following Tuesday’s practice, Brandon Staley made it know that Slater’s injury is “nothing to be concerned about” and noted that the he’ll be back at practice for the start of the team’s joint sessions with the 49ers ahead of Saturday’s game.
Rashawn Slater is dealing with a lower back issue, per Brandon Staley. He will be back at practice Thursday for the joint sessions with the 49ers. “Nothing to be concerned about,” Staley said. #Chargers

Slater was everything he was advertised as and more during the team’s 13-6 victory over the Rams on Saturday. He only played early in the first but that was enough time for him to make one viral-worthy play alongside fellow rookie Brenden Jaimes.
On this play below, Slater and Jaimes are tasked with double-teaming the three-technique into the lap of the linebacker behind him. That task more than just accomplished, it was executed to perfection.
Rashawn Slater and Brenden Jaimes - my wordddd! Big 10 rookie OLs unite!

So again, you can all take a sigh of relief that Slater is FINE and will be back in no time.
Relax. Exhale. All that good stuff.
