Continuing on with Madden 22’s reveals for the game’s top players at every position, this morning brought with it the top-10 edge rushers in the game which was headlined by the Browns’ Myles Garrett and Chicago’s Khalil Mack.
The Chargers landed another player among the group with Joey Bosa coming in as the game’s eighth-best pass rusher with an overall rating of 92. He comes in two points above his brother, Nick, at No. 9 with a 90.

The rest of the edge rushers ahead of Bosa include T.J. Watt (94) at No. 3, followed by Chandler Jones (94), J.J. Watt (94), Cameron Jordan (93), and Von Miller (93). The Packers’ Za’Darius Smith rounds out the top 10 with an 89 overall.
Bosa was able to remain among the NFL’s best despite a down season in 2020 stemming from a rash of injuries that wouldn’t let up as the season went on. At one point, Bosa said he was dealing with three separate injuries. This also did not include the pair of concussions he sustained with the second of the two being what kept him out of the season’s final two contests.
He finished 2020 with 39 total tackles, 15 for loss, and 7.5 sacks. The number of tackles and sacks were the second-lowest marks of his five-year career while the tackles for loss were third-best in that span.
