Every remaining NFL team who have yet to report to training camp will do so today ahead of their first practices which will take place tomorrow.
As of this morning, according to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, only three 2021 first-round picks have yet to sign their rookie contracts: Chargers offensive tackle Rashawn Slater, Jets quarterback Zach Wilson, and 49ers quarterback Trey Lance.
All NFL teams will have reported for training camp by today and as of right now, there are three unsigned first-round picks: #Jets QB Zach Wilson (No. 2), #49ers QB Trey Lance (No. 3), and #Chargers OT Rashawn Slater (No. 13).

This shouldn’t be the biggest surprise for Chargers fans as the club has been infamous for always taking their time when it comes to their first-round contracts. We all remember how long it took for Joey Bosa to sign his rookie deal due to issues regarding “offset language.”
The team has never been one to rush a deal and the same seems to be happening this year once again with Slater. This likely isn’t a cause for concern at the moment but let’s hope we don’t reach the midpoint of training camp with still little to no progress made.
And now for today’s links.
