Happy Hump Day, Chargers fans.
We’re kicking off today’s discussion by pointing at what we believe to be the toughest matchup on the Chargers’ 2021 schedule.
Plenty of talented squads will stand in the path of the Bolts on their quest for a postseason appearance, but I don’t think any portion of the schedule is as tough as what they’ll face in weeks five and six. Both games are going to be a challenge and I honestly could not decide between the two.
First, the Chargers will host the Browns and their dynamic running back duo of Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt. If they can somehow limit their ground game, they’ll still have to contend with a defense that add Jadeveon Clowney to a group that already possesses Myles Garrett and John Johnson III.
If they survive that nightmare, they then travel to Baltimore to face the Ravens, another team with one of the best ground games and another intimidating defense. This will be the team’s biggest test in seeing if Brandon Staley will be able to fix one of defense’s longest-standing shortcomings.
Are there any other games this season you all are worried about? Let me know how you feel in the comments.
