NFL announces offseason workout schedules for all 32 clubs

Here’s when the Bolts will start their post-draft prep for 2021.

NFL: NFL Draft Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

On Thursday, the NFL released every team’s offseason workout schedule, including the dates for OTAs, mandatory minicamp, and rookie minicamp.

Here are the dates you need to know for the Chargers:

  • Rookie Minicamp: May 14-16
  • OTA Workouts: May 25-27, 27, Junw 1-3, 7-8, 10
  • Mandatory Minicamp: June 15-16

While most teams will be beginning their rookie minicamps next weekend, the Raiders, Jets, and Colts will be holding theirs this weekend.

Rookie minicamp being a little over a week away means that Chargers fans will finally be able to find out which players will wear which numbers this season. However some players’ numbers may simply be place-holders until the team makes final cuts. With the new rule this year that expanded eligible jersey numbers for the majority of positions, there’s some added intrigue about which players will stick with traditional numbers or go big with a new single-digit number.

Atlanta rookie tight end Kyle Pitts is the first rookie this year to have been assigned a single digit number as he’ll be wearing number eight for the Falcons.

For those who have been waiting to see the Bolts back on a field in any capacity, that time is almost here for the rookies!
