Good morning, Chargers fans, and a happy TGIF to you all.
Over the past few days, there’s been some discourse on my Twitter timeline involving some Chargers-related blogs and Chargers-related media members regarding whether or not the Bolts should consider taking a top wideout in this year’s draft if one were to be available at No. 13.
I personally haven’t gotten involved in it, but I’m curious as all of your thoughts on the matter. Should someone like DeVonta Smith or Jaylen Waddle make their way to the Chargers — and the top tackles and corners are gone, as well — would you be content with the team pulling the trigger on a game-breaking-type player?
Keep in mind that means other needs (offensive tackle, cornerback, edge rusher) would all be pushed back a round. Do you think the team could work around this and find impact players at these positions on day two and three? Some, maybe, but certainly not all of them.
So, if you’d be so kind, let me know how you feel about this scenario below.
Now for today’s links.
