We’re officially under two weeks away from the start of this year’s free agency period, which means there’s likely going to be quite a few players made available in the coming days as teams with little cap space attempt to become more flexible by cutting ties with less-than-ideal contracts.
The Raiders recently made the decision to release longtime guard Gabe Jackson — whom the Chargers may want to take a look at, themselves — and he’s certainly not going to be the last notable offensive lineman to become available over the next 13 days.
To kick off this Thursday, I want to hear your thoughts on other offensive lineman that you believe could be made available in the near future that you also think could be of interest by the Chargers.
One name I like is current Bills center Mitch Morse. He’s due over $10 million in 2021 with a dead cap hit of $5.5 million, so Buffalo could leave the deal alone for another year. but he’s a good one that could be signed for a little less than what Corey Linsley might command in free agency.
Your turn. Who you got?
And for today’s links.
