With the entire NFL now officially in the offseason, it’s time to start looking forward at all the important dates coming up in the next few months.

These are the important moments that general manager Tom Telesco and new head coach Brandon Staley need to focus on if they plan to hit the ground running later this year en route to building the best possible Chargers team that they can.

Notable Dates

Feb. 25 - First day for clubs to designate Franchise or Transition players. March 9 is the last day that players can be franchise tag by their club.

March 15 - First day for clubs to begin negotiating with free agents.

March 17 - Clubs may begin signing free agents. The new league year officially begins.

April 5 - Offseason workout programs begin.

April 29 - The 2021 NFL draft begins and it will run through May 1.
