NFL: Los Angeles Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

On Tuesday evening, NFL insider Aaron Wilson reported that the Raiders are signing cornerback Brandon Facyson off of the Chargers’ practice squad. Facyson will reunite with former Bolts defensive coordinator Gus Bradley and a host of former Chargers players, including linebacker Denzel Perryman, cornerback Casey Hayward, and defensive tackle Darius Philon.

Facyson was originally signed as an undrafted free agent out of Virginia Tech back in 2018.

Through the first several weeks of the season, Facyson was among the team’s protected players on the practice squad. With the return of free agent-signing Ryan Smith around the corner, the need to protect Facyson just wasn’t as important anymore.

It’s a bummer to see him go, especially to a divisional rival, but I’m glad he’ll get the chance to play immediately due to Las Vegas’ need at the position.

And now for today’s links.
