The Chargers begin a much-needed bye week today in hopes of coming out the other side with four returning starters. Those players who could be welcomed in the coming weeks include linebacker Kenneth Murray Jr. and Drue Tranquill, right tackle Bryan Bulaga, and defensive tackle Justin Jones.
The real question is: Will they make the necessary difference that this team looks like they need? As of now, I certainly can’t say I’m confident they will.
But either way, some extra rest and relaxation is good for any team that’s feeling a bit battered and bruised. Especially after the past two games against Cleveland and Baltimore, you just know the running backs, lineman, and linebackers are begging for some time off.
I couldn’t blame them in the slightest.
But since there’s no Chargers football this coming Sunday, I’m replacing our usual opening odds piece with a look at the rest of the NFL. As always, these are courtesy of our official sports betting partner, DraftKings Sportsbook.
