Chargers open as 3.5-point underdogs at Baltimore Ravens

Ain’t no rest for the wicked, or so they say. Bolts get another tough task in the Ravens run game.

After their immensely-stressful and exhilarating win over the Browns, the Chargers will get the chance to travel across the country to face another tough AFC North opponent in the Baltimore Ravens. As of right now, the Ravens are 4-1 after their amazing comeback over the Colts on Monday night.

Opening odds from DraftKings Sportsbook has the Chargers entering this week as 3.5-point underdogs. The over/under is currently set at 51.

Both teams bring to the party a top-10 offense. The Ravens are fourth with 420.0 yards per game while the Chargers unit got a big boost from Sunday’s win and are currently averaging 411.4 per outing. Similar to the Browns matchup, the Bolts want to throw the ball while the Ravens, of course, want to run it down their opponent’s throat.

After the tail-whipping the Chargers’ run defense got this week, I’m sure they’re not looking for a repeat performance.

The Ravens are fourth in the NFL with 164.5 rushing yards per game. It’s obviously no surprise the Chargers run defense is back in last place and allowing a whopping 157.6 yards on the ground after what Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt did to them.

Lamar Jackson is his own incredible beast as a runner and that’s likely going to be this game’s biggest x-factor.
