UPDATE: It seems as if Aboushi is confirming the team’s worst fear regarding his injury. Looks like the team will be without their starting right guard for the remainder of the year.
Not the way I planned it to be but the plan was always meant to be..

The Chargers have strung together a number of excellent wins to begin the 2021 season all while avoiding any big bites from the injury bug. Unfortunately, that little streak of luck has seemingly come to an end.
According to a late report from Ian Rapoport on Sunday night, right guard Oday Aboushi is feared to have a torn ACL based on the results from his initial exam. There are more tests to come today, but chances are the Bolts will be without another starter on the right side for the year.
#Chargers guard Oday Aboushi, who has emerged as a key lineman on a very good O-line, is feared to have suffered a torn ACL based on the initial exam, source said. He’ll have more tests tomorrow to confirm.

Aboushi has been one of the most-consistent players along the Chargers offensive line this year and his loss will certainly be felt up front. Recently-signed Michael Schofield isn’t the worst backup to have at the position, but losing any starter at any position is never ideal.
We’re still hoping for good news, but if that never comes, we wish Aboushi the best in his recovery.
