Chargers-Chiefs game thread

One last go around. Let’s do it.

Good morning, Chargers fans, and welcome to the final football Sunday for the 2020 NFL regular season.

The Bolts are in Kansas City today to take on a Chiefs team that has the number one seed already wrapped up in the AFC, which means they aren’t going to be playing most of their starters in a game that means nothing at the end of the day. Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, and others have already been ruled out, according to reports from the team and various NFL insiders.

According to Adam Schefter, one starter who plans to play is defensive tackle Chris Jones as the former All-Pro is just two sacks away from earning a sizable incentive bonus.

Today’s game could also very well be Anthony Lynn’s last game as the head coach for the Chargers. Plenty of reports this morning are calling his future with the team “uncertain” while others are claiming the chances are in favor of him seeing the door by the end of the day tomorrow.

Whatever happens, this team still has some of the youngest, brightest talent in the NFL. If the front office can get this coaching decision right, the sky is the limit. I truly believe that.

For one last time this season, enjoy the game and Bolt up, baby!
