In the final game of the season for the Chargers, they will be without quite a few starters, as we all expected.
The most notable players to be inactive this week are defensive end Joey Bosa, right tackle Bryan Bulaga, left tackle Sam Tevi, and strong safety Rayshawn Jenkins.
The other players to be inactive against Kansas City are quarterback Easton Stick and safety Jahleel Addae. Addae is normally the backup to Jenkins at strong safety, so it’s likely that rookie Alohi Gilman will see his first start in the NFL. The only other safety expected to be active today is Jaylen Watkins who fits mainly at free behind Nasir Adderley.
The Chargers will also be missing starters Keenan Allen and Casey Hayward, both of whom were placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list earlier this week.
Plenty of undrafted free agents signed by the Bolts were promoted and signed over the past 24 hours, so expect to see quite a bit of youth on the field when things kick off in a little over an hour.
