With the Chargers looking like they are bound for a complete overhaul of their coaching staff in 2021, it’s being reported that the Seahawks may have their eyes set on the Shane Steichen as their new offensive coordinator following the firing of Brian Schottenheimer on Tuesday.

Since Anthony Lynn’s firing, former defensive coordinator Gus Bradley has already been hired to be the next coordinator for the Raiders. It’s also been reported that he’s taking two of his assistants with him, including defensive backs coach Ron Milus.

It’s not surprising at all to see Steichen gain some interest from teams, as well, due to him helping the Bolts finish in the top 10 of the NFL in total offense while also playing a role in the rapid development of rookie quarterback Justin Herbert.

Per NFL insider Mike Garafolo, Seattle head coach Pete Carroll wants to get back to running the football more and he believes Steichen may be the man for that job after coaching under Lynn who wanted to do just that with the Chargers.
