The Chargers are officially in the market for a new defensive coordinator as Gus Bradley was just announced as the new DC for the Las Vegas Raiders. This is the second time in the past decade that the Raiders hired away a former Chargers DC, joining John Pagano who was hired by the team following the 2016 season.
The #Raiders are hiring Gus Bradley as defensive coordinator (as @VinnyBonsignore said).

Bradley spent the past four season as the defensive coordinator in Los Angeles after being hired in 2017 alongside Anthony Lynn. During the 2020 season, Bradley was forced to use a fairly rag-tag group of players due to constant injuries to top players, including Derwin James, Joey Bosa, Melvin Ingram, and Chris Harris Jr. Despite all of that, the Chargers ended the regular season as the 10th-best unit in the NFL in terms of total defense. However, they couldn’t manage to record takeaways on a consistent enough basis, finishing with only 16 this past season, good for fourth-worst in the league.
