Last night was the emotional season finale of Hard Knocks: Los Angeles. For Chargers fans, it was probably the hardest episode to watch as the fan base knew exactly what they were about to see given the recent events that have transpired since the previous episode.

Fans not only had to watch the tough scenes involving final cuts, but they had to re-live the loss of Derwin James for the season, expect this time, it was as if we were all standing on the sidelines.

I’ll tell you what: It sucked.

Aside from that, it was great to finally see footage from the scrimmage that wasn’t shown prior by the social media team. It was about time, too. I got tired of seeing the Rams scrimmage in SoFi Stadium.

All in all, I enjoyed the season. It was also the first time I’ve actually watched an entire season, but even in an unusual offseason, it was entertaining — low ratings be damned.

While some may be bummed it’s over, the silver lining in this whole thing is that the finale means it’s time for actual football. We’re less than 36 hours from opening night, and here’s to hoping the Texans can get it done because what could be better than an 0-1 start for the Chiefs?
