The Chargers have announced the signing of linebacker Amin Babajide “B.J.” Bello to their practice squad.
we’ve signed LB B.J. Bello to our practice squad.

The 6’3, 229-pound Bello was formerly an undrafted free agent of the Cleveland Browns back in 2017. He spent just a single season there and spent time with five other teams between 2018-2019, with the Jets being his most-recent stop last year.
Bello, although not highly-rated coming out Illinois State Univeristy, is an incredibly athletic defender who put on quite the show at Illinois State’s pro day. He ran his 40-yard dash in 4.56 seconds, on top of clocking a 4.17 in the short shuttle and an elite 6.71 in the three-cone. His broad jump of 10’9 is also remarkable for the linebacker position.
In 27 career games, Bello has recorded 13 total tackles and one quarterback hit.
Bello becomes the team’s 14th player on the practice and his signing comes a week after the Chargers placed linebacker Asmar Bilal on IR and promoted linebacker Malik Jefferson to the active roster.
