Chargers LAtely Ep. 15: Big-time players need to make big-time plays

For a team to be elite, they must play like it first.

We’re a little over 24 hours from when the Chargers will make their home debut against the Kansas City Chiefs at SoFi Stadium. It is an absolute BUMMER that there won’t be any fans in attendance, but I’m not going to let that stand in the way of enjoying what should be one of the best matchups in the NFL on Sunday.

The Chargers are 1-3 against Mahomes since he took over the starting job in Kansas City. In the month of September, specifically, Mahomes is 7-0 with an incredible touchdown-to-interception ratio of 26:0. In those seven starts, Mahomes has also thrown for 300+ yards in all but one, which was his recent game against the Texans. Now one last one: Mahomes has thrown for at least three touchdowns in each of those games.

It’s going to be an incredible feat for the Chargers to come away victorious in this one, that’s for dang sure.

At the end of the day, these big-time players need to make big-time plays, and I believe they will.

Enjoy the game preview!
