Original Post
On the Chargers’ second defensive drive of the game, linebacker Drue Tranquill went down with what is being deemed an ankle injury. Right before Tranquill was about to engage an offensive lineman, his foot looked to have slipped and the big lineman landing on top of him didn’t seem to help the already unfortunate situation.
Right away, you could tell it was a significant injury. Tranquill was still the whole time and he was eventually put into an air cast and carted off the field. The promising young defender was emotional and tried his best to hide the tears in his eyes. That’s not the reaction of someone who expects to be back any time soon.

Newly-signed Nick Vigil is in for Tranquill and will likely take over the WILL linebacker role for the Chargers.
We will keep this updated when new information is made available. Our thoughts and prayers are with Tranquill and his recovery.
