Hard Knocks: Los Angeles debuts on HBO tonight but they released their first actual clip of the season on Tuesday morning. This is our first chance to see a player get a COVID-19 test, the same one that will be administered many thousands of times in the NFL this season, and the recipient was a wary Casey Hayward.
He had gotten a nasal COVID test before and did not love it, so the Chargers cornerback was hesitant to receive the swab even though it will be a routine part of life in the league for at least one season.
As to what else happens on Hard Knocks on Tuesday, we’ll have to wait and see. The Chargers and Rams are sharing the spotlight just as they will be sharing SoFi Stadium for the foreseeable future.
Hopefully we will also get a long look at the football team, including the progress of rookie quarterback Justin Herbert, the new pieces on the offensive line, and one of the NFL’s highest rated defenses going into the season.
