On Thursday, USA Today college sports writer Dan Wolken reported that the NFL is currently not considering pushing back the 2021 NFL Draft if the next college football season were to be postponed into the spring of 2021.

It’s understandable that more and more murmurings about a delayed college season are becoming heard as things are taking a turn for the worst, a la the pandemic. Even though there’s official dates and times for the return of the MLB and NBA season, as well as the current set dates for NFL training camps to commence, the explosion of cases in places like Texas and Florida have people feeling uneasy about a smooth return to play.

If the NFL draft were to go on as planned next year, then this scenario would be even worse than this season when it comes to the lack of information they had on prospects, specifically the lesser known players, There will be more dart throws and high-risk picks. But if every team is suffering through those things, then it’s still fair across the board, It may be frustrating as all get out, but maybe it’ll be more fun that way? It’s pretty natural for people to enjoy gambling, so maybe we can just lean in to that adrenaline rush.

I don’t know. These are just my immediate thoughts on the matter. What do you all think about this situation? Would you rather see the draft postponed or not?
