The news that the LA Chargers signed Joey Bosa to a record-breaking five-year extension came out of nowhere Tuesday afternoon.
It stunned you, me, and everyone else around the NFL landscape, but man did it feel good to finally see that headline flash across my Twitter timeline.
The Chargers and DE Joey Bosa have reached an agreement on a 5-year, $135 million extension that ties him to LA the next six years, per @AdamSchefter.

When big news like this gets dropped, one of my favorite things to do is scour Twitter for the best reactions and thoughts about it. Finding the best GIFs and fun facts associated with it can really addd to the moment.
One of my favorite tweets I found was from Senior NFL reporter Albert Breer, where he essentially showcased just how incredibly PAID this group of former Ohio State Buckeyes are now.
One of the greatest collections of talent in college football history continues to get in the pros.

Chargers DE Joey Bosa: 5 years, $135 million.
Saints WR Michael Thomas: 5 years, $96.25 million.
Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott: 6 years, $90 million.
Unsurprisingly, someone turned Stephen A. Smith into a meme for the sake of this news and it is as enjoyable as you’d expect.

Also, former Chargers team writer Ricky Henne offered up this funny Bosa anecdote to cap things off.
Joey Bosa’s new contract made me dig this one up.

Before I left the Chargers, he signed one of my favorite stories I wrote in the most Joey Bosa fashion. pic.twitter.com/mcE1cC0AFj
It was a great day for everyone involved and a huge W for the fan base. Here’s to six more years of watching Bosa get after quarterbacks as the face of the franchise!
