On Tuesday morning, EA released the first official trailer for the next installment of the Madden NFL franchise.
Dozens of players from across the NFL were featured through the roughly 90-second video for Madden 21, with a pair of Bolts making an appearance doing the things they do best.
Check it out below:
Towards the beginning of the trailer, running back Austin Ekeler was seen evading a tackle before spinning off another a extending over the goal line to score a touchdown. He was, of course, donning the brand new powder blue home uniform.
Defensive end Joey Bosa was then featured in the segment that was used to portray brand new mechanics for pass-rushers. Bosa beat Raiders left tackle Kolton Miller with a spin move before sacking quarterback Derek Carr while stripping the ball from him in one complete motion. Bosa was also wearing the powder blue tops but this time it was paired with the yellow bottoms.
In the main photo used for this article, you can see Bosa lined up on the edge in a two-point stance wearing the white-on-yellow combination. I’m so glad the developers chose to include so many different looks for the Chargers after the resounding success that was the new uniform unveiling. For those wondering, the Rams’ new unis were only shown once ... So that’s a small “W.”
Also, in the video above, you can get glimpse of a finished SoFi Stadium. PHEW!
The official release of the game is set for Aug. 28. If you pre-order the Deluxe or “MVP” edition, you will have access to the full game three days earlier on Aug. 25.
