Mike Williams has been one of the most outgoing members of the Chargers since he was drafted in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft. He has cultivated a following on social media as of late and even dropped his own line of apparel called “Whole Lotta.”
But on Tuesday, Williams shared a video on his instagram of him working with the jugs machine that he bought right before the pandemic shut everything down. It’s full of one-handed catches and acrobatic grabs which, as we’ve all seen, have translated fairly well to the field.
After a wash of a rookie season, Williams has put together back-to-back impressive campaigns in 2018 and 2019. Williams’ 11 total touchdowns helped propel the Chargers to a 12-4 record and their first playoff win since the 2013 season. Last season, Williams surpassed the 1,000-yard receiving mark for the first time in his career and established himself as one of the best deep-ball threats in the league.
Here’s to hoping he can top both seasons with his play in 2020.
