The Chargers got their quarterback of the future and the heir to Philip Rivers when they selected Justin Herbert out of the University of Oregon. Herbert was a prolific and efficient passer for the Ducks over the last four years, ending in a senior season that saw him pass for 3,471 yards with 32 touchdowns to just six interceptions.
He has a number of accolades to his name, including winning the William V. Campbell Trophy, also known as the “Academic Heisman.” He also led Oregon to the Pac-12 Championship, and a victory over the Wisconsin Badgers in the 2020 Rose Bowl.
At 6’6 and 237 pounds, Herbert is comparable to Rivers’ stature. He looks to be the next long-time starter at QB for the Bolts as they head into a new era of Chargers football in 2020 and beyond.
Don’t wait! Grab your Herbert No. 10 jersey ASAP!
