It is nearly impossible for a uniform reveal to go well on social media. The Falcons were ripped for making their new jerseys weirdly modern; the Patriots were pretty blah; and even though the Buccaneers mostly got their new duds right, there was still clamoring for a return to the creamsicle jerseys.
Somehow, the Chargers managed to pull off an impossible feat. Despite a 6:45 a.m. reveal that would seem to dim the enthusiasm among its West Coast fan base, the Chargers unveiled their new uniforms to raucous approval. Fans and foes alike are in near universal agreement that the Chargers’ new look was seamlessly executed in what may or may not be the team’s first season at its new stadium.
Michael’s made his thoughts clear, and he was pretty prescient in how the rest of the world would respond.
The powers that be — meaning Keenan Allen and Derwin James — seem thrilled about the decision.
Nothing like putting on that powder blue on game day...didn’t know it could get better. @Chargers https://t.co/oCcZ7dClyd

The look is so clean that Ryan Clark wants to come out of retirement just to don a Chargers uniform.
Hey @Chargers .... I prob don’t have a half play left, but please let me get a tryout. I just wanna rock the new Unis 1 time. Honestly, don’t matter if I can play. I’m gonna look like it. Lawd, those joints so FYE!! Y’all gotta win the Super Bowl! We need these on the big stage!

The team took over the Internet.

Chargers got *most* of the timeline to agree that their uniforms are really good. That might be the most impressive thing about this release.

And basically everybody loves them. No matter who you root, you’re now a fan of the Chargers’ aesthetic.

Now, THIS is how you do a uniform redesign.

Chargers new uniforms get an A+. Decision to release them at 6:45 am on the West Coast, when Los Angeles is sleeping? Kind of weird.

I hate to admit it, but the Los Angeles Chargers took the best color scheme in the NFL and made it better by unveiling new uniforms on Tuesday morning: https://t.co/t3ykS8gY6s pic.twitter.com/ND2yDJB1cH

As a Chiefs fan it pains me to admit this, but the Chargers are going to look FABULOUS in the highlights of Patrick Mahomes shredding their defense. https://t.co/pnmPWHCLC2

We're still fond of the #Bucs' new threads, but they're not quite at the top of the NFL when it comes to uniform redesigns. @EddieInTheYard @Buccaneers @Chargers https://t.co/vCQiMmixdW

My personal favorites are the color rush jerseys, but every one of these is an instant standout. Any player drafted this week is going to be thrilled to get one of these uniforms sent in the mail. Kudos to the Chargers for officially winning the offseason.
