Could three quarterbacks go off the board in the top five? How about the top four? That could definitely be the case if the New York Giants are considering moving away from Daniel Jones after only one season.
NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported that Giants head coach Joe Judge has met with Herbert over FaceTime, apparently doing due diligence on the top prospects. New York has the fourth overall pick but selected quarterback Daniel Jones with the sixth overall pick last year. Of course, Judge is in his first year as head coach and a change in philosophy, or even a move similar to that of the Arizona Cardinals replacing Josh Rosen one season after using a top-10 pick on him, could mean that extenuating circumstances would lead to the Giants making a bold move ahead of the LA Chargers.

The Chargers hold the sixth overall pick and many expect them to target a quarterback based on the obvious need for one at some point in the future. The Cincinnati Bengals are expected to select quarterback Joe Burrow with the first overall pick. The Miami Dolphins hold pick five and are also being linked to the QB prospects. New York could always trade down and give that spot up to a team more interested in a QB, like the Chargers or perhaps a different team, but in either case the number four pick could say a lot about LA’s QB options.
If the Bengals take Burrow, the Giants take Herbert, and the Miami Dolphins select Tua Tagovailoa, the Chargers may find no choice but to take the top tackle prospect.
