After an announcement was made over two weeks ago surrounding the Chargers signing former XFL tight Donald Parham, the news became a bit more official after NFL Insider Ian Rapoport reported the deal for the first time.

In his initial tweet, Rapoport said that Parham actually chose the Chargers over five other offers from NFL teams. That news tells us that Parham was likely a commodity following the suspension of the XFL last month.

The deal was reportedly for two years and worth up to $1.39 million. Parham comes to the Chargers after catching 24 passes for 3-7 year and four touchdowns for the Dallas Renegades. His touchdowns were tied for second-most in the league and his receiving yardage was good fir third.

Parham joins a tight end room that currently hosts six players, including Hunter Henry, Virgil Green, Sean Culkin, Andrew Vollert, and Stephen Anderson.
