Dantzler is a lengthy 6’2, 188-pound cornerback that went up against some of the top receivers in the draft while playing in the SEC. He ran an official 4.64 forty at the combine but reportedly trimmed that down to around a 4.40 at a recent pro day in Baton Rouge. Now I’m not entirely sure how realistic that is, or how serious anyone should take it, but his film doesn’t show a slow and limited defender.
Dantzler only played nine game during his final year at MSU but still led the team with a pair of interceptions. He also recorded 40 total tackles, two for loss, and eight pass breakups. He chose not to participate in the team’s bowl game to prepare for the NFL Draft.
