According to Jordan Strack, Sports Director at WTOL 11 in Toledo, Ohio, the Chargers have signed former XFL offensive tackle Storm Norton. The news comes soon after the XFL announced their immediate suspension of operations.
I’m told Storm Norton is signing a deal with the Los Angeles Chargers after having a big year in the XFL.

The former Whitmer Panther & Toledo Rocket was the highest rated Offensive Lineman in the XFL according to PFF.
Norton was initially signed by the Detroit Lions as an undrafted free agent out of Toledo. After six months in Detroit, Norton signed with the Arizona Cardinals for less than a month. He was finally picked up by the Minnesota Vikings that December and managed to stay with the team until the start of the 2019 season.
After committing to play in the XFL, Norton was selected with the first pick in the second phase of the XFL Draft. The second phase was the “offensive line” round so it speaks to what teams thought of Norton. He would go on to star for an explosive L.A. Wildcats passing offense and eventually be named the highest-graded offensive linemen in the entire XFL with an 80.2.
The grades are in.
