A tradition unlike any other.
Every year prior to the NFL Draft, New Era drops a whole new line of caps specifically made for the event. Each hat will be featured following each team’s pick in the first round. The caps are handed out to the prospect right before they take the stage to shake hands and snap photos with commissioner Roger Goodell.
Like all new team apparel, there’s the chance for new ideas and designs to fall flat once it’s presented to the public. It honestly seems like every other year the opinions on the hats switch. One year, they’re super cool. The other, it may be tacky as hell. This year, I got to say I think the draft hats are a fat “W”. Especially the Chargers new design.
Without the line of navy blue in the logo, the lighter colors really pop. It’s a very clean and aesthetically pleasing to look at. I don’t buy a ton of hats, but this one might one might make it into my wardrobe.
