The 3-1 St. Louis Battlehawks travel to the nation’s capital to take on the 2-2 Defenders who are coming off back-to-back losses. With a win today, St. Louis would take a firm hold of first place in the division at 4-1 over the 3-2 New York Guardians. Battlehawks QB Jordan Ta’amu is second in the XFL in with 876 passing yards while being the sixth-leading rusher in the league with 186 yards. The team’s leading rusher is Matt Jones who’s 244 yards are also good for second in the NFL.
Defenders quarterback Cardale Jones started hot this year but has struggled mightily in his last two outings. He’s fifth in the XFL with 674 passing yards while holding a 4:6 touchdown to interception ratio.
The late game tonight is between the LA Wildcats and the Tampa Bay Vipers. LA is led by quarterback Josh Johnson (788 passing yards) along with receivers Tre McBride (236 receiving yards) and Nelson Spruce (256). Tampa Bay’s offense goes through their two-headed monster at running back consisting of De’Veon Smith and Jaques Patrick, both of whom went over 100 rushing yards last week.
Both teams are 1-3 going into tonight. The Vipers are in last place in the XFL East while the Wildcats are currently 3rd in the West.
